Draped Paint.

Inspired by the painterly buildup of mineral lines on the interior limestone walls this installation explores and illuminates the history of the Spring House and its elemental architecture, through structure, skin, space and light. “The flesh of the world-becoming part of us, at the same time that we unconsciously project aspects of ourselves onto a conceived space, object, or event…” (The Eyes of the Skin: Architecture and the Senses)

Shou Sugi Ban Tree Slice from Installation.

I was invited to transform a small gallery space into a work of art that referenced the book form. Reflecting on the interior, imaginative space of the book and one’s interior world and thoughts, this installation examines private and public space and the performative space of the self as a personal narrative. Transforming what was once a former telephone booth into a self-reflective site, the introverted and extroverted alike were invited to take time to gather their thoughts, search deep within, and contemplate–a pose. Curated by Vince Hazen.
